Visiting a church can be intimidating. Our desire is to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, it will be our privilege to warmly welcome you and get to know you.

Below are some answers to questions you might have.

What kind of people attend your church?

We have people of all ages and backgrounds. What unites us is not any particular demographic but a common commitment to know, love, and serve God and others. Chances are you will meet some people a lot like you and others completely different from you.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code. Some people dress up and some come in jeans. Our priority is not on what you wear but on gathering together to worship God from our hearts.

Will I have to do anything?

We won’t put any pressure on you. You are not expected to give to the offering, join the church, or come forward to sing a solo. Feel free to participate as much as your conscience allows, or just sit back and observe. The Lord’s Supper is served each Sunday. We invite those who are baptized, communicant members in a Bible-believing, Protestant church to join us. By participating, you are acknowledging that you are a sinner, without hope except in the mercy of God and that you are trusting in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation. If you have any questions about your participation, please speak to the pastor or one of the elders. (We have non-dairy, gluten free options).

How long does the service last?

The service lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. After the service we have a time of coffee and refreshments, and on some Sundays (usually the first of Sunday of the month) a congregational meal. You are welcome to join us.

What is the service like?

The service is a conversation with God that includes things like reading scripture, singing, prayer, preaching, and partaking in communion. Make sure you pick up a worship bulletin when you come. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Our service is both reverent and joyful. We seek to take God seriously, but not ourselves. He is holy and powerful and should be approached with awe and wonder (Hebrews 12:28-29). At the same time, he is merciful and forgives our sins in Christ (Exodus 34:5-7), so he knows what we are really like and we don’t have to put on a spiritual false front on Sunday (Psalm 139:2, 23).

What about children?

Children are a blessing of God and they are welcome to stay in the worship service. A nursery is available for children 3 and under. Another room is available to serve as cry room or training room. We do have hearing assistant packs available for moms or dads who needs to step out with their child so that they can continue to hear what is happening in the service.
